Speakers

SPEAKER

Herb Larsen

Businessman & lay-evangelist, Canada

Businessman Herb Larsen Jr has made it his passion to lead the lost to Jesus. You will not want to miss hearing the dynamic stories, testimony and “how to” of a layman who has dedicated his life to evangelizing the “post-modern” for Jesus.

Questions like;
How do you shift your secular conversations into talking about the relevance of God-belief?
How do you sway an atheist’s belief from that of there is no God to “He is certainly worth trying?”
will be practically answered, backed by first-hand experience.

In addition to sharing Jesus everyday with the “lost” that he comes in contact through his worldly association, Herb maintains a heavy global speaking schedule to multi-denominations as a lay-revivalist and evangelist.

SPEAKER

Christopher Kramp

Evangelist, Germany

Christopher Kramp (32) is a German evangelist and speaker/director of Joel Media TV. He studied orchestra conducting and is a graduate of PEACE (a misson school of the North England Conference). He is passionate about the Advent message and has preached and taught the Bible in many countries. One emphasis of his work is internet evangelism. He also serves on the board of advisers for ASI Germany.

WORKSHOPS: FOLLOW THE LAMB IN THE FAMILY

Conflict management in the family

Terri and Ernst Zwiker

Don’t miss the blessing of a good conflict!” This is a very true statement that we want to clarify and understand.

We should be interested in analysing conflicts and understanding what they are all about. We will talk about the different conflict participants with all their positive and negative challenges. These challenges come mostly from inside, from our values, principles, fears and expectations. Once we understand ourselves better (self-competence), we will much better communicate our wishes and limits to our environment (social competence). Practicing and learning all that is one of the best, the most serious and most important tasks, since we are living in the end time, the time of the most challenges. A good ‘Conflict Management’ is definitely the right tool to have today.

Terri and Ernst Zwiker have been married since 1980. Even though they come from different cultures (USA/CH) and totally different family backgrounds, with God’s help they have worked through these challenges well enough to become a blessing to each other, their three children (Jenny, Jesse, Jeremy) and others. Because it is their common burden they write a blog to support the most important relationship model we have in our society: the family.

How to get to the Convention

Situated at Vejlefjordskolen, amidst beautiful fjords, west of Denmark’s capital city and an hour and half long drive northwards from the border of Germany, here are some options on how to get there

Public transportation in general: In Denmark we have a travel planner called ‘Rejseplanen’ where you can find different options for public transportation going from one place to another at a certain time. To access the travel planner, go to www.rejseplanen.dk. It is possible to choose English language. Note: You can only plan your trip ~2½ months in advance using ‘rejseplanen’.

Arriving to an airport?

Billund Airport (43 km from Vejlefjordskolen)
From Billund Airport you can go to Vejle st. using Bus 43, leaving every half an hour with travel time 36 minutes. A regular ticket is 62 DKK and can be bought in the bus with cash or by downloading ‘Sydtrafiks app’.

Time table for the bus can be found here (be aware that the 1/1-2020 is a holiday (‘helligdag’) in Denmark): https://www.sydtrafik.dk/Files/-sydtrafik2013/K%C3%B8replaner/300619/Rute_43_050819.pdf

Aarhus Airport (110 km from Vejlefjordskolen)
Aarhus Airport is rather small but has connections to Oslo Airport. From Aarhus Airport you can go by the airport bus to Aarhus city center (~ 50 minutes) and from here take the train to Hedensted or Vejle (~ 40-50 minutes).

Detailed information on the airport bus can be found here: https://www.aar.dk/content/bus-service.
To find a train from Aarhus train station to Hedensted or Vejle, go to www.rejseplanen.dk.

Copenhagen Airport (250 km from Vejlefjordskolen)
From Copenhagen Airport you can be blessed to find Flixbus tickets to Vejle to affordable prices, starting around 90 DKK and upwards. On the 27th of December there are several departures listed, so you can already book your ticket now. To find departures and book tickets, go to www.flixbus.dk. You can change the language to English.

Otherwise you can take the train to Vejle. This is rather expensive with a regular ticket costing 380 DKK, but the trains are quite comfortable. To find departures, go to www.rejseplanen.dk . Tickets can be bought online or at the train station in a train ticket machine. If you want to reserve a seat at the cost of 30 DKK, you need to select that when buying the ticket.

Driving from Sweden?

Storebæltsbroen
It’s easy to drive from Sweden to Denmark, but you might want to be aware that we have a bridge in Denmark, ‘Storebæltsbroen’, that you need to cross on the way to Vejlefjordskolen. To see toll charges, go to: https://www.storebaelt.dk/english

Coming from Norway by ferry?

Hirtshals / Frederikshavn (~ 250 km from Vejlefjordskolen)
There are ferry connections to Denmark from Langesund, Larvik and Oslo.

To view departures and prices:
• Langesund-Hirtshals: www.fjordline.com
• Larvik-Hirtshals: www.colorline.no
• Olso-Frederikshavn: www.stenaline.no

If you bring a car, it takes about 2½ hours to drive to Vejlefjordskolen from Hirtshals or Frederikshavn.

If you need public transportation from the ferry in Denmark, you can go to www.rejseplanen.dk.

Note: If you arrive by train/bus, it is possible to be picked up in Vejle or Hedensted at the cost of 80 DKK (including both ways). If you need to be picked up, please let us know when you fill in the registration form. If you didn’t get to do that, send us an e-mail.
