Membership

ASI membership is available to any Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing who leads a supporting ministry, owns a business, provides a professional service, or young people in missionary training and higher education. Every member, individual, company or organization, seeks to follow the ethical, financial and spiritual principles which guide the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and seeks to exert a positive Adventist influence on their environment. Ordinary Membership status shall be granted to self-employed individuals, companies, missionary organizations, groups and other types of non-profit organizations, who, or whose owner and/or head is a practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church but whose organization is not directly or indirectly controlled by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Such membership shall be in the name of the organization. It shall be safeguarded that the management of the companies, missionary and other non-profit institutions, organizations and groups shall operate in harmony with the principles of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Before admission to Ordinary Membership the organization, company or group to be admitted shall have been in existence for at least one year. As an Ordinary member, you will have the following responsibilities and privileges:

  • Eligible to receive funding from ASI Scandinavia and ASI Europe offering for projects
  • The possibility to share your ministry / business report at the ASI Convention
  • Discount on exhibit space and ad spot in booklet at the ASI Convention
  • Have access to a growing ASI member network and directory
  • Be an active voting member of the General Assembly, which meets once a year before the ASI Convention, thus setting the direction of the organization
  • Be eligible to elect the Board when necessary
  • Be eligible to be elected to become a Board member
  • To support ASI Scandinavia members and encourage others to join
  • Contribute with an annual membership fee (1000 kr.)
  • Serve and develop the ASI Scandinavia network with your time and talents

Associate Membership status shall be granted to executives of companies as well as professionals (physicians, psychologists, pharmacists, lawyers, tax consultants, corporate consultants etc.) who are employed by an entity which they do not control, and who are practicing members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

As an Associate member, you will have the following responsibilities and privileges:

  • Attend the General Assembly, which meets once a year before the ASI Convention, thus giving input to the direction of the organization with voice, but not vote.
  • Contribute with an annual membership fee (1000 kr.)
  • To support ASI Scandinavia members and encourage others to join
  • Serve and develop the ASI Scandinavia network with your time and talents
  • Have access to a growing ASI member network and directory
  • Eligible to receive potential funding from ASI Scandinavia and ASI Europe offering for projects

 

Student Membership status shall be granted to peopleĀ over 18 years of age, who are enrolled in a missionary training course or a professional level of higher education, or are actively involved in missionary work, and who are a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. A person who qualifies according to this shall remain eligible for student membership for up to three years after they have finished such qualifying activity.

As a Student member, you will have the following responsibilities and privileges:

  • Attend the General Assembly, which meets once a year before the ASI Convention, thus giving input to the direction of the organization with voice, but not vote.
  • Annual membership fee (0 kr.)
  • To support ASI Scandinavia members and encourage others to join
  • Serve and develop the ASI Scandinavia network with your time and talents
  • Have access to a growing ASI member network and directory
  • Eligible to receive potential funding from ASI Scandinavia and ASI Europe offering for projects
