A vineyard under a deep blue sky, with the first light low on the horizon. A cluster of dark grapes hangs from the vine in front, catching the warm light, and further down the rows a figure in a robe scatters seed from a bag, with a few points of light in the air.

Decisions for Mission, 2026/27

To know You.

Date
30 December 2026 to 2 January 2027
Location
Ekebyholmsskolan, Sweden

Not to know more about Jesus, but to know Him. This New Year, give Him four days at Ekebyholm: to be known by Him, to find friends who walk with you, and to go home with a calling that bears fruit long after the last song. Business people, professionals, students and families, members or not: all are welcome. Come, and bring a friend.

The theme

Why this theme

On His last evening with His friends, Jesus prayed: “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” That is John 17, verse 3. Knowing about Jesus is not the same as knowing Him.

The same evening He pointed to a vine and said: “I am the vine, ye are the branches.” The vine is the picture for these four days. A branch bears fruit only while it stays in the vine, and so do we.

This is the first of several conventions under one heading, Decisions for Mission. A decision that lasts begins with a person and not with a project. So this year we begin with knowing Him, and being known by Him.

Everybody who comes belongs to a small group. The groups meet each day, and they keep meeting after the convention, so that what we decide here lasts.

Who it is for

Members and non-members alike

The convention is for people who run a business, a practice, a farm, a school or a ministry, and for people who are working out what to do next. You do not have to be a member to come, and nobody will ask you to join at the door.

Families are welcome, and the children and the youth are part of the convention. They have their own programme during the main meetings, and everybody eats together.

Speakers

Speakers and workshops

No names have been announced yet. A name is added here only when that person has said yes.

If you are booking travel, you can rely on the place and the dates at the top of this page. The programme ends on the Sabbath evening and people go home the next morning, so please book your journey home for the Sunday.

What it costs

Registration, accommodation and meals

Everybody pays a registration fee, which depends on their age. Then you make one choice for the booking: how you are staying. If you sleep at the school you also take full board, which is charged per person on top of the bed: see the two tables below. You can also sleep somewhere else and eat with us, or come for a day. A family in a classroom on their own sleeping mats pays a good deal less than somebody in a room for one.

The booking form adds it up for you, person by person, and shows the whole total before you confirm anything. Nothing is taken before you have seen it.

Booking

Simple to book, alone or together

Booking takes about ten minutes, and a family or a group can book together. You tell us who is coming, where you would like to sleep and which days you will be there, and anything the kitchen or the people allocating rooms should know. A place is held for each of you when you confirm.
